The first step in becoming debt free is mending your broken relationship with money. To do this you have to reflect on your feelings about money and debt by examining your debts and seeing what feelings come up.

Look at your debts-the bills or mortgage or loan papers-and see how you feel. You are probably upset, stressed out, uptight when you look at that pile of paper. How you feel when you look at your debt becomes a clear target for tapping. There are five or six tappable issues around becoming debt free, such as, "Even though I'm uptight...," "Even though I feel intense stress...," Even though I don't feel I can fix it...," "Even though I blame myself..." When you reduce intense emotions and the charge on an issue, as you can do through meridian tapping, you get clarity. Your system clears up, your debt no longer feels like a heavy, horrible thing, and you can start to get ideas about what to do.

Start Slow

Everybody would love to be a millionaire overnight but that simply isn't how it's done for most of us. We have to start out slowly and be willing to take steps to change our vibration one increment at a time. It is possible to change your level of vibration so much that by the next day you are a completely new person. You can be empowered by the feeling of being free from worry about your debts. You will understand that you have them but you will no longer be sickened by them. You'll begin to have ideas on how to fix your indebtedness whether it means selling something or consolidating your debts or devising a new budget. You will find ways to make positive steps that keep you motivated to continue on your path, like paying off your lowest balance credit card so that you only have seven cards to pay off instead of eight. That is progress and it lifts your energy and propels you onward to make more positive changes.

Listen To Your Ideas

We receive fantastic, life changing ideas every day about how we can earn more money and live the life we want to live. Unfortunately, lots of us completely miss our great ideas because we're upset, stressed out, or involved in everyone else's business but ours. Or when we do catch that great idea we often will discount its potential to give us real benefits in our lives. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle and utilizing the Law of Attraction on a daily basis we allow ourselves to open up to receive these great ideas and we can recognize the potential within each one. And don't forget to start small. Lots of millionaires started out selling cheap products (or even giving them away) all the while focused on their ultimate riches. Anyone these days can create an e-book and sell it for $1 online. Now you only need a million people to buy it and voila! You are now a millionaire.

Appreciate What You Have

As always the best medicine for stress and worry is to appreciate what you already have. This strategy works for any and every problem - being unhappy with your partner, being unhappy with your job, being worried about piles of debt, and feeling depressed, to name just a few. Instead of focusing on what's wrong, which is almost too easy to do, focus your mind on what's going right. Make a list of what you're grateful for and let that process shift your vibration from a place of lack to a place of wealth. Once you're there, you can now better determine how you got into debt in the first place, and you can begin to launch yourself out of debt and into a new, debt-free life.
