Video marketing is a fantastic way to get your home based business message out to the masses but for a lot of people the thought of getting in front of a camera brings on paralyzing fear. But for your shy video marketers on a budget there is hope. I came up with a list of low cost to no cost solutions for the shy wanna be video marketers out there.
If you already own a camera but don't want to sit in front of it and talk:
Draw it out!
Get a white board, piece of paper or chalkboard and illustrate your message.
As you talk- off screen- let your animations on the board become the visual part of your video. With the camera focused on your hands it becomes a great way to teach people what you want them to know.
Kind of channeling your inner 3rd grade teacher.
Don't worry if your artistic abilities haven't improved since you were in the 3rd grade as long as your message is helpful and your audio is clear and easy to follow along with. Most of the time, simple drawings are the best way to get your point across. Don't get fancy, just keep the video moving and people will watch it.
If you don't have a camera yet but still want to make movies people love to watch:
You can either borrow one from a friend, family member or neighbor or get a bit techie.
There are sites available online that allow you to add audio and images to their software, press a few buttons, add some text and they produce the videos for you. Slideshow style.
The images become the visual and the audio or music you uploaded becomes the sound for the video.
Either way, you don't have to be on camera yourself and you don't need a camera to make a professional looking video. Plus, these sites are so easy to use, a degree in Computer Science is really not necessary.
They are a lot of fun. Choose images that go along with the message you are trying to get across and catch a person's eye. Funny, controversial, emotional, or even personal photos work the best.
These slideshow videos are a great way to show off your lifestyle, your latest vacation or business convention photos without boring people to tears on your social networking sites.
