There are more and more videos watched each and everyday online and if you are missing this trend because of your fear of the little red light, you are missing the gravy train!
There are some very cool tools available these days for the shy video marketer. Here are a couple of my favorites...
Screen capture. By using your computer as the face behind the lens you avoid looking into the camera yourself. This technique is perfect if you are doing a how to or instructional video. You can even put together a power point with slides to do the "talking for you".
Combine it with a bamboo pad. This neat little tool lets you draw all over your screen just like you were writing a note on paper. It does a whole lot of other nifty stuff too, but it is a perfect tool for the camera shy video marketer.
Use slideshows. There are some really cool sites that do all the hard work for you. Transitions, images, music and text can all be added in one simple to use online application.
This is perfect for anyone that wants to have professional looking video without being in it themselves. You can record audio and load it in with your choice of pictures and the site does the rest. You can also just use text and images with background music. And if you don't like it, press a button and theses site will make you a new one.
It's kind of like podcasting with images.
You can also invest in some video editing software and create these yourself. Just use your audio, add your images and do the editing yourself. It is a lot easier with the online tools, but if you have the time and want full control over the end product, you can learn to do this in a few hours.
