December 2010 This fall OldAngler celebrated the grand opening of its first retail store located in the luxurious Hotel David Intercontinental in Tel Aviv.
The new boutique brings 'Made in Italy' tradition to the heart of Isreal, where leather lovers can shop unique Florentine and buffalo leather bags, handbags and accessories, each meticulously handmade by authentic Italian craftsmen.
The Hotel David with its international clientele and constant flux of world travelers, is the ideal location for the new leather shop providing locals and guests alike a glimpse of real Italian style.
The store's simple and personable interior design was modeled after the original OldAngler showroom in historic Tuscany, Italy. The decision, according to OldAngler owner Mario Bartolini, was made to guarantee clients a genuine OldAngler experience with the same familiar atmosphere and friendly service as the Italian headquarters.
OldAngler is an artisan Italian leather brand, manufactured just outside of Florence, Italy. It is known for its classic styles and genuine vegetable tanned leather, carefully hand-dyed by expert Italian craftsman. Vegetable tanning is the process by which the animal skin, or rawhide, is converted into non-degradable leather through the use of natural vegetable extracts.
For over 50 years the family-run company has dedicated itself to upholding and promotingancient Italian leather making traditions, as well as ethical production standards (all rawhides used in production are recycled by-products from the meat industry), to guarantee that each and every product is 100% authentic.
The new OldAngler boutique is situated in the lobby of the Hotel David Intercontinental in Tel Aviv, near the Shlomo Lahat Promenade just ten minutes from major tourist attractions and hotspots.
