subject: Choosing The Most Suitable Beginner Forex Tutorial For You [print this page]

A Forex tutorial gives you the step-by-step instructions necessary to improve your Forex trading skills. Before searching for a tutorial, it is best to have in mind exactly what you are looking to learn and what you hope to accomplish.

For example, if you would like to learn more about trading Forex without indicators then searching for information on that particular technique is the quickest and easiest way for you to find what you are looking for, as opposed to browsing through general tutorials that cover every trading technique available.

Most Forex brokers have some type of training course available, using revolving around their chosen platform (usually MetaTrader 4, due to its popularity and ease of use) which range from beginner to advanced courses and whilst some are free, others are not. If you are just starting out, then start with a beginners course that your Forex broker offers. This will allow you to learn some of the jargon used in Forex trading and to clarify the world of currency trading. Once you have learned the basics of Forex trading and understand the basic principles of platform such as MetaTrader 4, then you are ready to determine the types of trading techniques you are going to use and remember that you should not try to find Forex trading systems without first understanding the basics of currency trading.

Once you have established your favourite trading techniques, search the internet for more details. Be forewarned, though, that not all Forex trading information found on the internet is created equal. Some of the information found online has been written by people who have never even opened a demo account, much less actually traded Forex. These people are trying to sell Forex training that they themselves often do not understand, which can end up costing you even more money in the long run.

The easiest way to mitigate this potential problem is to look for discussions of risk on the websites that you find. If a website is only interested in selling you something and they have seemingly outrageous claims on them, then there probably will not be much discussion of risk because it could scare off potential customers. It is in your best interest to avoid taking advice from these types of websites because they do not have your best interest in mind. A truly educational Forex website will discuss, in-depth, the risks associated with currency trading.

Another way to filter out some of the lower quality Forex broker tutorial websites is to look for price charts on them because technical analysis is the essence of currency trading. As price charts are the basis of most technical analysis, a good informational website will have plenty of these. Be wary of a Forex website that does not have price charts on it, as anybody can write about Forex trading, but not everybody can explain the significance of the indicators on a given price chart.

Finally, there are a number of Forex courses that are available to enhance your education, which come in a variety of formats, from webinars to home study courses available on disc. Some of these courses can be very informative, but remember that when looking for a Forex tutorial avoid those which promise or guarantee any type of major returns and do not discuss the potential risk.
