Does Late Ovulation Make It Harder To Conceive?

I received an email the other day from someone who had recently started using a saliva ovulation predictor and was very surprised to learn that she was "ovulating late" in her cycle. What I mean is that instead of ovulating at around day 14 (or about half way through her cycle) as many people assume, she seemed to be ovulating at somewhere after twenty days. She was worried that this would make it harder toget pregnant with a boy baby, which was her goal. In truth the dayofovulation does not have all that much bearing on conception so long as you aresuccessfully gauging this time period and having intercoursearound it. You can also successfullyaffect your baby's gender no matter when yourovulation day occurs. I will explain this more in the following article.

Late Ovulation Can Make The Timing More Difficult To Gage, But It Certainly Doesn't Make It Impossible: Admittedly, it can sometimes be tougher to pinpoint your most fertile day whenthese happens later in your cycle. This is often because people will start testing around day 11 and then they will stop at around day 16, usually thinking that they are doing something wrong or that they have missed it altogether. However, often if they just continued to test, they would've eventually come up with a positive. Instead, though, many assume that they just aren't ovulating, have a faulty predictor, or both.

Another thing that contributes to this is that often the urine predictors will only give you enough sticks to last 5 or so days. Many women run out of the sticks and then give up.This is why I will often recommend saliva predictors which can be used indefinitely. Once you get a positive (even if it takes a little while) you should just proceed forward as youwould if you have ovulated at day 14. There reallyis little difference. You have gotten a positive and you are now approachingyour most fertile period. Now is the time to have intercourse if you do not have a preference as to which gender you want. If however, you do have a definite gender in mind, you'll need to be more precise about your timing.

Proceeding Forward With Late Ovulation If You Want A Boy Or Girl Baby: If you want a boy, you can simply proceed forward and begin having intercourse once you've gotten a positive. This is because the Y or boy sperm that you need to be present will be present at this optimal time. However, if you want a girl, this is not the best timing for you. This is because the X or girl producing sperm can live for quite a few days longer than the Yor boy producing sperm. So, if you have intercourse 3 -4 days before your egg is ready, you're ensuring that most of these little guys have already died off and are no longer a factor, which is exactly what you want, at least for right now.Now I know it can be difficult to wait an entire month before trying again, but won't it be worth it when you are successful? At least now you have an idea as to when you will be positive the next month. And, with the saliva predictors you can begin testing at any time because you don't have to worry about running out. So it really doesn't matter if you are late or not regular because you will be testing regularly enough that you will know when the timing is right. Now, the timing isn't the only consideration. You will also want to look at your pH. The reason for this is because a high pH favors girls while a low one favors boys. So, you will also want to test yourself (with pH strips) and then adjust accordingly (through foods or douches) to become closer to what is optimal for your wishes. These things work together to ensure you are most likely to get the gender that you want.I've put together a few websites that take a lot of the guess work out of choosing your baby's gender when getting pregnant. You'll find step by step instructions, resources for douche recipes and food pH lists, information on when to conceive, tips, support, and examples of ovulation predictors / pH testing strips. If you want a girl baby, check out http://conceive-a-girl-baby.com/.If you want a boy baby, check out http://conceive-a-boy-baby.com/. http://www.articlesbase.com/pregnancy-articles/does-late-ovulation-make-it-harder-to-conceive-3883021.html
