In modern vertical plumbing systems the pipelines which are used to carry out the transportation of waste water from a building to the drain tanks and to a sewer tank uses some traps. The drain plumbers usually go up with the two different types of plumbing methods such as the horizontal plumbing and vertical plumbing. The plumbers following this plumbing technique in conjunction with a drain plumbing system to avoid the risk of causing diseases with spreading the sewer smell to outside. The traps used in conjunction with the plumbing fixtures such as baths, basins, WCs, bidets and showers used these traps to carry used water away is also called U-bends. Normally this U bends carry some water which prevents the smells from the sewers to spread in to the surroundings or to the house where the drain plumbs belongs. Since the sewer smells are at least unpleasant it is clear that this smell will come to cause a number of diseases.
Vertical plumbing is a different method of using pipelines and traps in the vertical position to a drain or sewer plumbing tank. It is a common that the plumbers use a trap is as a part of the fitting in a WC or an outlet waste pipe. Many old houses have a two pipe waste plumbing system or drain system with the WCs connected in to a vertical soil pipe and the other to a waste pipe of vertical type. This vertical plumbing system is adopted with less careful designs of the slopes and connections and of course the vertical piping system need to vent the air since this system uses a soil pipe connected directly to the drains and waste pipe connected through a trapped gully. This two pipe vertical plumbing system can be extended by adding extra waste pipes to the drains. But most of the houses now use a built-in Single-stack system of waste plumbing with a number of branch pipes from the U-bend trap attached to the baths, basins, WCs and so on vertically down to the side of the house. In case of extending the existing single stack waste plumbing system it is quite simple to use plastic pipes and do by joining in to the main soil pipe.
In vertical plumbing system the plumbers usually terminate the top of the pipe to the outside of the building and also to the bottom connects directly to in to the house drainage system. Often when designing a drain plumbing system either in the horizontal or vertical plumbing mode, the plumber should need to take care about the length and diameter, position of branch pipe connections to the soil-stack and the radius of the bends at the soil stack. This plumbing fixture design in other wards helps to ensure the fact that the water fills in the traps will not be sucked out and do not spread out the smell in sewer. If waste plumbing system breaks the seal against smells we can avoid the breaking by opening the top of the soil stack.
