subject: Diversifying Your Income Stream [print this page]

Expanding your online income is one of the essential things you must learn when you have a website.

Let's say you have most of your ads with Google AdSense. And it makes up 90% of your online earnings. What if Google terminate your

account! You would lose 90% of your website's profit, then what would you do? For most people, it would be very difficult to recover.

If you have a site, you can diversify by using pay-per-click, direct leads, PPA or pay per action or by getting commissions from promoting products or services.

One of the easiest ways for an internet newbie to start getting money on the web that is fast and easy is through CPA (cost per action) Marketing! This style of affiliate marketing requires

internet surfers to complete a certain action in order for you to get paid.

So what exactly is CPA affiliate marketing, how does it work and how do you use it to earn money?

In effect, you act as a traffic broker and CPA

networks are the middlemen. You earn money for the leads you make for a specific advertiser. You dont need to sell anything or the consumers dont have to buy something for one to earn money. What you have to do is to make the surfer perform as the advertiser would like him/her to. It is always easier to get a new buyer to give information or visit the website of a company (especially when

there's a free sample or product that accompanies it) than buy something. This makes it a lot easier to make a conversion with CPA

marketing. One downside to it though is that CPA marketing can be very competitive.

Creating other websites is another way of multiplying ones income. At present, I have a number of websites that I build income from. About 4 months ago, Google banned one of my websites from their search engine! Among internet marketers, this is a ordinary happening. It appears that my site had loads of outgoing links to sponsor ads and they regard it a "link farm". However that site at the time was bringing in something like $1000 a month. If I didn't have all of my other websites to pick up the slack, can you imagine the disaster that could have happened?

Having them on different servers is another way of boosting your online profit. These days, its cheap to host a website. Lets suppose you throw one or two of them up on a $5.99 a month server and pay for a year's worth of hosting, you're doing the right thing. Not only does it have search engine benefits, but if one of your servers should go down, not all of your websites are down at once.

If you want to earn the most money online then you certainly need to expand your income streams.
