If you want to burn your music on a CD, here are the steps that you need to follow in order to successfully burn one. But before we start on the process it is important that you know first the different types of Compact Discs used in burning not only music files but also other file types.

There are several types of CDs from where you could choose from but they can be divided into two categories namely recordable and rewritable. If you will choose CD-R (cd-recordable) you will not be able to add, delete, or edit music once you have already written on it. In other words CD-Rs are only good for burning once. On the other hand, CD-RW (cd-rewritable) can be rewritten on again. You will still be able to clear the disc once you have burn it. This type of CD can be used several times but take note that there are only a certain number of times that you can rewrite on CD-RWs.

Now that you already know the basic differences of the CDs used in burning music files, it is now time to start the actual burning process.

4. Open your burning software.

5. Choose create music disc.
