Pelican Hill at Newport Coast
Since the creation of the Irvine Coast Master Area Plan in the early 1970s, planners have envisioned construction of a resort that offers residents of Newport Coast a wonderful array of new services as well as an exquisite destination resort that is secluded, relaxed and luxurious. Finally, the long-anticipated guard-gated resort of Pelican Hill will include an inn, a residence club and a new golf clubhouse. Pelican Hill Inn will offer 204 rooms in 40 single-story bungalows with ocean and golf course views, as well as a world-class restaurant, a luxurious spa, meeting and event rooms and specialty shops. The residence club will include 120 multiple ownership villas and casitas, also with ocean views. Perched above the Pacific, Pelican Hill will have access to 36 holes of championship golf designed by Tom Fazio. Built along Pelican Hill Road, near the golf courses, the Resort will incorporate the existing clubhouse into the Pelican Hill Inn. The new golf course and the initial phase of villas will open in late 2007.
