He ended up selling it for $97. He also had an upsell at the end for his coaching program for about a thousand dollars. That's some serious dough.
The perceived value is higher for videos. You can say what you want, but I see it all of the time. That's one reason why recording yourself doing a power point is a good thing.
Another reason that it's a good thing is because you don't have to do much writing. Some people dread having to do all the writing that an e-book details. They don't like putting paragraphs together and worry about their spelling and grammar.
If you're going to sell a $97 e-book. You better have a ton of meat to it. That's a lot of writing and a lot of editing. Most people will shy away from all of that work.
Think about what my buddy had to do. He didn't really have to do any research. It's all stuff that he already knew. All he did was put together a power point presentation, which would probably have taken him half an hour or so to put together. If you have never put together a power point presentation, they are really basic and anyone can do it.
Then he just put on the presentation. He talked for about an hour and a half and put on the presentation and that was it. He probably paid someone to write his sales page and paid for advertising and sit back and watch the money come in.
That is a very quick example on how a person can make a lot of money online and make it very quickly. It was also an example that shows you that you can make a lot of money online and not have to spend months and months before you see some substantial money coming in.
