subject: Mobile Video Games, The Perfect Party [print this page] Today I had a couple of friends over to my home. As we visited one of the ladies was telling me that her husband had wanted a Wii really bad. They have very young children and are watching every dime to make ends meet. His job gives him tips that they don't plan on in their budget because they never know what will come in. She finally agreed to let him save up his tips and when he saved up enough he could purchase his Wii. She said he finally saved up enough and to get the Wii, but she didn't tell him until later in the evening so he wouldn't play it all day on his day off.
We laughed about it, but it is true. Whether it is the Wii or the computer or even the games that come on cellular phones everyone is catching onto the interest of playing electronic games. Last year my husband's work had a summer party and they invited the whole family. They had a corner that had a gaming system set up and two to three or even four people could play at a time. The guy that was in charge of the party said that he wished there was some kind of mobile video game theater or set up that could come in and provide gaming for the hundred people that were there.
We laughed about it at the time, but then later in the year my son told me that he wanted to have a big video game birthday party. I told him that with our one Wii that there was no way we could have several friends over to play. He would be able to invite a couple of friends and have a great time, but not a whole bunch of friends. Then my son informed me that there was a way to do this party that he wanted. He said that his friends told him that there was a company that had a mobile video game theater that I could hire to come and do his birthday party.
I was amazed that someone had come up with this idea, but it was brilliant. From children to adults everyone is catching the vision of how fun it can be to play video games with friends and family. It makes for an amazing party and one of the easiest to plan.
