Supercharge Your Article Marketing - How To Make $36 Per Article

The 'nitty gritty' of the article marketing process - that is, sitting at your computer banging out article after article - can get really, really boring. And I'll be the first one to admit it. But, knowing your numbers and figuring out how much you're actually making per article will make your efforts a lot more effective - and can make things a lot more interesting, too!

I recently did an examination of my business like this and found that, on average, I make $36 dollars over the lifetime of each article that I submit. Here's exactly how I do it:

1. Each article gets an average of 157 views

I took an average of the last 100 articles I've submitted to a major article directory and came up with this number.

2. Each article gets an average of 15 clicks thrus

3. Each article gets re-purposed

Each article I write then gets re-written completely and submitted to three more article directories. It also gets made into a short video about the same topic. These things get me, on average, an additional 600 views of essentially that same article, as well as another 30 click thrus.

4. 6-7% opt-in conversion

Of those 45 or so clicks that are, in the end, generated by each article, about 6-7% of those folks, or about 3 people, end up signing up for my mailing list.

5. $1 per month per subscriber

This is what I've calculated each subscriber on my mailing list to be worth to me.

Each article gets 3 new people for my list - each subscriber is worth $1 a month - the average person stays subscribed for 12 months - so each article is worth $36!

Formulas like this one can help you stay motivated and working hard in your article marketing efforts. Keep working hard and good luck!
