When I graduated from college in December 2008, the last thing I expected was confusion, but I was in fact very confused. I had no idea what I really wanted to do with my life, I had a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. My passion and my talent was writing, but I had always vowed that I would be a lawyer one day.
I didn't understand the line between loyalty to my goals, and accepting the calling God had on my life. However, in early 2009 God led to a job, working with at risk children. Though I was overwhelmed with all that was happening, I accepted the call. All the while holding back tears, and wondering..."Lord what are you doing?"
For the first time in my life, I was forced to face the first phase of my destiny. God has revealed to me that, it is NOT only in the works I perform I serve in ministry. But that my entire life itself has been shaped as a ministry, for you all must know that the cost of wisdom endures much pain.
Even as a young child the broken clinged to me, so I endured taunted experiences brought upon me by miserable hearts. The experience most significant was sexual abuse, it has been the demon from my past that almost cost me my life. I have battled miserably with the dark memories and insecurities those scars left behind, but God has healed my wounds and strengthened my heart enough to forgive.
