This system stayed in place for a long time, people would work as miners, manufacturers, builders and so on. The system worked with a comparatively small population everybody was quickly able to find jobs that required didn't require qualifications and then could work for the rest of their lives in the same place.
Flashing forward to more recent times we've seen the rise of information technology and the transformation of our economy from a physical labour based economy to an information service based economy where people from around the world all compete for increasingly rare jobs. The real question is, in a rapidly expanding global market how do you differentiate yourself from everyone else fighting for the same position?

Well, of course there are many ways, depending on your chosen career path but one of the most effective ways of advancing your career in IT I have encountered is to complete your MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) training. It proves to potential employers that you have what it takes to stand out above those other candidates. It's a highly valued qualification for sure, but what else can it do for you?
