Online video is one of the best ways to teach someone something without actually having to be there!
You create your video once, and it can be uploaded or plugged into an email follow-up sequence and be watched over and over again.
So pretty much online video marketing allows you to duplicate yourself!
You can use online video to teach by
Creating a slideshow presentation and filming it.
Hosting a webinar (Live video).
Filming tutorial videos.
One of the best ways to use online video to teach is to just create a slideshow presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint or Apples Keynote, and then get a screen-capture software and film and narrate your slideshow presentation.
I actually prefer this method because it allows me to organize my ideas and provide a visual representation of it if necessary.
Another great way to use online video to teach is to host a live webinar. If youre subscribed to any online marketing gurus, you already know what Im talking about. If not, a webinar is a seminar hosted on the Web!
If using GoToMeeting to host your webinar, you can even download a video file of your webinar and upload it to where ever you like.
Its also possible to record your webinar and set it up so people think theyre watching it live after its already done.
The most common way to use online video to teach is to create tutorial videos. These are found all over YouTube, and are known as How To videos.
If youre teaching how to use software, you can use a screen-capture software to record your screen and show youre viewers what you need to in a step-by-step format. Its the closest method of online teaching to showing them in person.
If youre teaching something that isnt on the computer, you can buy a video camera and editing software, film what youre teaching, edit out all the mistakes and upload it to the Internet.
However youre creating your video, it can be uploaded, and shown to your students over and over again.
By doing this, youve successfully automated the teaching process!
This gives you more time to focus on marketing and monetizing your websites.
