He was thinking whom he may be resembling, his birth father or mother? He wanted to know the reasons why he was put up for adoption. At the same time, he also wanted to thank them for putting him up for adoption because without them having done that, he wouldn't be the person who he is now. He was so depressed that he wanted to talk to them, feel them and hug them. He at least wanted to know whether they were dead or alive. He thought of giving up the idea of looking for them since he had no more leads.
As a last attempt, he thought he would go back to the adoption agency and try a last time to get some information. To his luck, he found a new person at the counter. He wondered whether this person would oblige him with the information he is looking for. As he started to enquire about the information, this lady started to shake her head and apologetically told John that she couldn't help him out. However, they started to chat and while they were chatting, the lady told John that she too was a adopted child. She told John, sorry I can't divulge any information about your birth parents, but I can give you information about a website where he could be a background check which had helped her out. John was eager to know more and asked her to write the information of the website on a piece of paper which the lady did and handed over to John.
John didn't waste a minute, he thanked the lady and rushed home and sat in front of the computer with the information the lady had just handed over to him. He typed the URL of the website which the lady had written down and pressed enter. To his surprise, there was a field asking to fill out just the name and the State of the person. John entered his biological mother's name and the State from which he was adopted. Within seconds, the website provided him with the details of his biological mother. John couldn't believe his eyes. He wondered why nobody had told him about this website before. He took down the details provided by the website which included his biological mother's present address and phone number. He immediately lunged over to his phone and dialled the number.
As soon as he heard a woman's voice from the other end, John's eyes filled with tears. He started to speak in a low tone and introduced himself as John and told her he was looking for his biological mother. He asked the person on the other side whether she had given up her child for adoption 40 years ago? There was a long silence and the woman on the other end started to sob. John couldn't control his excitement thinking he had at last found his biological mother. Since then they have had long conversations and have personally met each other. John was happy to hear that he had 2 half brothers and 1 half sister. He also learnt that his biological father had passed away due to cancer.
All this wasn't possible if John hadn't done a background check on his birth mother.
