Nationalism or "Fascism"
Nationalism or "Fascism"

It is said that before the creation of a country, an ideology is necessary for a nation, but if it is an ethnic group then no ideology can put them on one page. It has been almost 64 years since Pakistan was created, but still after 63 years, I see people belong to different ethnic groups, Culture, Language & Fund share the same land. If that is why Pakistan came into being, so what was wrong with sharing a ground with Hindus and taking a land where a separate nation (Muslims) can live together.

I consider still after 63 years we do not know the reason why we came into being or else we, instead of being known as Pathans, Punjabis, Sindhis and Baluchis, would live like Pakistanis. The only reason for opting to take a separate country was

"Hindu India and Muslim India must be alienated, because the two nations are completely separate and unlike and in various substance aggressive to each other. Let me tell you some of the differences. We are different in our history, language, laws, culture, music, calendar, architecture, jurisprudence and our whole social fabric and code of life." (Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah 1947)

There was something always in fashion in Pakistan, which removed people's attention. In 70's it was "Protestants Culture", then in the 80s it was "jihadi culture" later in 90s, it was a transitional period of nationalist extremism, last but not least from 2000 to 2010, this was a period when people showing love to your land became a style. In this era a large number of counterfeit got up and pretended to be patriotic but in true, they were the "intellectual morons" who wanted to turn patriotism into fascism and done this as a Fad.

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Well, fear and about 200 million fascists."- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Today, most so-called patriots are just seeking attention and nothing else. They can not do something for their country, but they show so much patriotism, passion, love and madness for the land but in truth they know nothing what they really want out of it.They are self mystified and even also injecting this viral infection to be liberal to others too. They obtain examples of Islam and incorporate them into their liberal views and practices. Why do they do? Is there a hidden agenda behind all this?

All this is done intentionally or not? Are they really serious about playing their part in improving the land or is it just a pun? What do they really want from Pakistan or from Pakistanis? There are very few people who could answer that, but if I share my personal opinion then I would say they are all seeking attention and nothing else, as if they were patriotic enough then we would not suffer from poor leadership, corruption, bad governance, electricity crisis, rising prices and so many similar challenges.

"Nothing so conclusively proves a man's ability to lead others as what he does from day to day to lead himself." (Thomas J. Watson)

They do not deserve to show their gratitude for this Pakland because they are nothing and just a bunch of losers who claim to be patriots, but in fact they are not. The only reason they have chosen to become patriotic is just because these days "love Pakistan" is in "fashion". They can not sacrifice anything to this land or for this nation, infect they rather prefer their personal benefits to the national interests and similar people join politics and never let those true patriots come forward who wants to progress sincerely to serve their country. A fine example of a Patriot would be those 1.4 million Muslims who never come to this land after the partition of India into two divisions, or those who stood by with their leadership

"Patriots always talk of dying for their country and never of killing for their country" by (Bertrand Russel)

Now it's up to us to express our love for the homeland and how we want to achieve all of this and how we want our future leaders to be.

"It is a characteristic of all movements and crusades that the psychopathic element raises to the top" by (Robert Lindner)

Closing Remarks:

"There can be always a one right point of view on two possible options. Difference between Words and Actions can lead you to Distraction. So choose one and be the one." - by Hyba Nawaz

"People who wanted Pakistan to grow up as a nation are long gone, what we are left with are time passers."

"Very well pointed "Loving Pakistan In Fashion" out / Rather it's a BRAND nowadays .. ALAS, we never had a RIGHT CONCERNED GOVERNMENT after Quaid & Liaquat Ali Khan. Are we going to have some more attention seekers or some true patriots who could just bring the real soul of freedom back, what Quaid dreamt about along with all the Muslims who scarified for Pakistan in true meanings? Choice is entirely ours!"

Allee Amaan

"True! In fact, it is a brave and commendable effort to point out this issue It is a fashion to be patriotic to get attention."

Hassan Chattah

Geo TV, Lahore

"You have raised a very important issue, no wonder our society is suffering from these problems. Nationalism is indeed adopted just for the sake of showing off.. it's a time to forget differences and be united for the sake of Pakistan"
