For the first option, you need to turn on your computer and follow some computer support steps. You need to go to the desktop and select the start button. From the start button you need to select run. A dialog box will come up and on it you will need to type 'cmd'. This will brings up the command prompt. On the command prompt you will need to type 'ipconfig/release' and then press enter. Then you need to type 'ipconfig/renew' and press enter. To quit the prompt and return to the desktop, type exit now. When you will type the 'ipconfig/renew', a new IP address will be generated by the modem.

To start with the second option you need to turn on the computer and type cmd on the dialog box run. You need to type 'ipconfig/release' on the box that will appear. Then turn off the PC and turn off the hubs or switches. You need to turn off the cable and the DSL modem too. Now computer support experts suggest leaving the computer overnight like this. Then you need to turn on the switches, hubs and computer to see the changes.

For LAN, you need to follow some tech support steps. You need to turn on the computer and go to the start button. Now you need to open the control panel screen. Right click on the network and connections icon to bring up the small window. Click on the option properties. Now computer help experts suggest you to click on the box that is beside the Internet Protocol. Now you need to click on the properties. This will provide a space where the IP is supposed to enter. It also has automatic setting for generating a new IP from the modem or router. To get the IP, a request is needed to be sent from the ISP.

For changing IP from Vista you need to follow some steps. Changing IP for Windows Vista and Windows 7 is quite the same. For doing this you need to turn on the computer and open the control panel. You need to select the option Network and Internet which will open a window. You need to select the Network and Sharing Center now. Then you need to select Manage Network Connections. On the Internet connection you need to right click and then select properties. You need to select the Network tab from the properties.
