The trusty favorites I have seen several times and those that I really want to see as soon as I get the opportunity.
If you are a concert lover like me, you may well live somewhere that is blessed with many live performances by artists of every genre. Here are just a few recommendations of artists I think you would enjoy seeing.
If you see My Morning Jacket advertised to play near you, get yourself along for a great night out. Although predominantly an indie band, their southern rock roots mix with modern day sounds and electronics to create unique sound.
A great band needs a great leader, and Jim Jones is certainly that. This band captivates their audience with their style and energy, and an almost surreal ambience falls over the gig as you are swept away on the tide.
We all like to hear a piano played, when you hear one played so brilliantly that he crowd in enraptured, you are probably at a Ben Folds concert. He is quite simply a genius and puts on one of the best live shows I have ever seen by a pianist.
3So how do you play a piano? Sit on a stool and press the keys? Maybe ordinary pianists play like this, but Ben Folds is no ordinary pianist. He makes the piano come alive and puts on a show like you will never have seen before.
A band I have seen repeatedly and will continue to see is Pearl Jam. I highly recommend their show to anyone, its fantastic.
A lot of bands alienate themselves from their fans by charging top dollar for tickets and merchandise, not so these guys. The fans come first and always will. Their shows are exhilarating and they play everything; old and new.
