The Effectiveness of Article Marketing
The Effectiveness of Article Marketing

Article marketing has been called bum marketing for the simple fact that (in theory) you can take someone off the street, who has no money, and they can start generating an income using this method. That's because the cost of starting a business on the internet using article marketing is zero. Article marketing is so effective that all you need is a little bit of skill at writing and you can easily generate an income.

Internet marketers who use article marketing have taken on a couple of different strategy's recently. One focuses on quantity, while the other focuses on quality.

Using the quantity strategy you would write an article, then using what's called an article spinner, spin off up to a hundred or more copies of your article. Each spun article being just a little different from the original. Then you take those spun articles and load them into a mass article submitter and mass submit them to every article directory on the internet. Next you just sit back and wait for the flood of traffic. Right! More like a trickle. For the most part people can tell if an article has been spun or not. For the most part it just doesn't look right, and reads even worse.

Using the quality method you would write a good (it doesn't have to be great) article that's both informative and interesting to read. Then you would take that article and "hand" submit it to only a few of the top article directories. Doing this you increase the marketing effectiveness of your articles. Because like I said before, it's easy to tell if you're reading an original, or a spun article. I personally use Microsoft Word, but you can use any word processing software you want, even notepad. Then when you click on submit article in the article directory it's easy to just copy and past your article and click submit.

Another way to increase the effectiveness of your articles as a marketing tool is to visit blogs that are specific to your niche and ask the blog owner if you can post your article on their blog. Not only will this give the blog owner a break from posting, but it will give your article more exposure. Always make sure you include a bio box, and a link back to your website, or blog. This will also help to increase you search engine ranking.

Don't feel you need to use just one method I've mentioned here to market your articles. Feel free to use any one, or a combination of all three. The point is to get your articles out there where people can read them. They aren't very effective sitting on your hard drive collecting "dust". And remember you don't have to be a great writer to write articles. You just have to have something to say.
