Several years ago when I was in college I took this approach. What I learned from that experience is that it is good to be extra careful and take precautions when purchasing a vehicle, but what is more important is knowing a good auto repair shop that can help take care of you vehicle in a quick and timely manner so that you can get your vehicle back quickly. The other thing is you want to know that they are going to repair your vehicle with confidence. These are the things that protect you most when purchasing a vehicle.
