subject: Glass With Features Is Magical [print this page] From the time I was a little girl I absolutely loved anything that was Disney. I found that I just couldn't get enough. I would want all of the videos and even loved purchasing all of the different clothes that were branded with Disney. I had things from toys to cups to clothes to socks to shoes to posters. I had my room decorated in Disney. When I was old enough to drive I had all kinds of Disney keychains on my keys. In fact, they got to a point that the keys were too heavy and I had to take some off.
There was one thing that Disney sold that was out of my reach financially and I dreamed of some day affording them. They were the Disney globes. I found it so magical to be able to shake the globe and see the snow fall around the Disney characters and take part in the beautiful design of the entire globe. Then when I got married my husband started purchasing them for me to collect. They were magical and I loved them. As the years have gone on my interest hasn't stayed in Disney items, but what I have discovered is that I am fascinated with glass and what can be found in glass.
A few years ago we got a glow in the dark glass thing that had a gel that took shape and slowly moved throughout the glass. You could turn on a light and watch it light up as it took shape. It was so fascinating to me. My children have found years of enjoyment with this.
Then I have discovered glow in the dark glass. You might wonder what that is. Have you ever seen different designs of color and shapes inside of glass? It is hand blown glass and then filled with different colors. Then when it is dark the glass the object inside of the glass will glow in the dark. It is fascinating to watch the shape glow in the dark inside of glass. It is magical. The other really cool thing is that you can add light to it and it gives it a whole different dimension. It is amazing to watch a variety of colors glow in the dark inside of glass. I have no idea how it is made, but what I do know is that it is something that is just as magical as Disney to me.
