subject: Redcliffe-an Environmentally Innovative Town Outside Of Brisbane [print this page] The Queensland is a region that offers a variety of unique experiences. Brisbane is the most central portion of this region and with their incredible newly remodeled airport they accept more visitors now than ever before.
Just outside of Brisbane is a historic town called Redcliffe which is one of the more popular regions to visit as it is not only a very cosmopolitan area but also a very interesting one. It has held the title of being not only the Tidiest Town in the Queensland but also one of the most environmentally innovative ones as well.
This is where the first people that came to the Queensland from Europe settled down. They picked this spot for it's good location on Moreton Bay, no doubt. If you take a little time exploring here you will be able to get up close and have a better understanding of the history. If you go to the museum here and look over the collections of artifacts you will be able to understand how all the people that existed here have become the mix that they are today.
You will find plenty of water sports right here too because they do love that sort of thing in this part of the world. For a really sweet little adventure you can tour Moreton Island. The tour starts at Redcliffe Jetty and from there you will be able to see some of the creatures that stay in and around that spot. There are Turtles, Whales, and Dolphins that will make regular appearances there. You have the opportunity to go scuba diving here to see a lot of the sea life up close, or you can just take some time to lie on the beach and enjoy the view.
For those of you that need more adventure than an island tour, you need to check out the Glass House Mountains. The most memorable way that these can be seen is from the sky. You can sky dive or take one of the tour flights that will take you through the area. The birds are the ones that get the best view of these so you need to take their advice and look at this area their way.
