Restoring Your Smile To Health and Beauty

In spite of how careful you may be with your teeth, occasionally something goes wrong. Even the passage of time or the foods we eat can have a negative effect on our smiles. Acidic foods and stress, accidents, or nocturnal grinding can damage and wear the teeth.

My Teeth Are Severely Damaged. Can You Help Me?

No matter what happens cracking, breaking, decay, even tooth loss modern dentistry and advanced restorative techniques allow us to restore and save your teeth. Because my team and I are so passionate about preventive and restorative dentistry, we dedicate a significant amount of time to educating ourselves, including postgraduate training at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, The American College of Oral Implantology and The International Congress of Oral Implantologists. This ensures that we are well versed in the most innovative techniques and the latest materials. We even have a full lab on the premises for complete control over the quality and fit of every restoration.

What Restorative Procedures Do You Offer at Shirley E. Cagle, D.D.S., F.A.G.D. ?

We offer everything from white fillings, bonding, inlays, onlays and crowns to bridges, dentures and even dental implants.

We never restore your teeth with metal. This means that our white fillings, inlays , onlays and crowns do not contain mercury amalgams for the purest, safest repairs available. Inlays and onlays are ideal solutions for cavities or tooth damage that requires a little more strength and coverage while crowns are the restoration of choice for teeth that require structural integrity and support. We create every inlay, onlay and crown in our on-site laboratory. This means that they will be expertly shaped and colored to match your surrounding teeth while restoring strength and eliminating discomfort.

I Am Missing a Tooth. What Are My Options?

Missing a tooth changes the bite, which places stress on the remaining teeth and causes those teeth to wear unevenly. This uneven wear can result in jaw-related pain. Missing teeth can also change your facial appearance and lead to bone loss. Because tooth loss can be so devastating, we recommend that a missing tooth be replaced as soon as possible. We offer several excellent options for tooth replacement.

Our best option is to restore the missing tooth with a dental implant. A dental implant consists of a titanium rod, which fuses to the bone, essentially replacing the tooth's root. An implant crown is then placed over the post resulting in a tooth so strong and natural you can eat and live as if you never lost a tooth at all.

If you are not a candidate for an implant, talk to us about our cosmetically designed bridges or dentures.

I Just Want My Smile To Look Good Again. Can It?

Of course! We approach every procedure with the philosophy that all dentistry should be completed in a cosmetically pleasing way. No matter what your restorative needs are, you will leave our office with a smile that makes you look as good as you feel.
