Who else is struggling to make money, or momentum, with your article marketing campaigns? Have you heard great things about the POWER of article marketing, yet are not having the sort of success that matches the hype? Or do you find yourself writing, and writing....and then WRITING some more, only to get a trickle of traffic that's NOT translating into anything tangible you can use to build a real business?
I've got a very similar story......and my confession is this:
It took me a LONG time to figure out the article marketing puzzle, and for the first 6 or 7 months, maybe a lot like you, I struggled MIGHTILY to make money, and to make any progress at all. On more than ONE occasion, I was ready to give up....and came very close to throwing in the towel forever.
The GOOD news?
I had a series of big breakthrough moments, and those moments STACKED upon each other, and just a few short years later I've managed to generate MILLIONS of readers to my articles, in tens of niches, and an enviable business built on the broad shoulders of a veritable avalanche of FREE traffic that keeps on coming....even while I sleep.
I've identified about 11 different things I use in my own content marketing campaigns, and I want to share 3 of them with you, immediately below:
Attack the OCEAN: One of the biggest breakthroughs I had in my own marketing momentum was to STOP attacking niche markets, and start going after the most highly competitive industries where there was MUCH more traffic to be had. This is especially effective with article marketing, and if you are struggling to get readers, this is the easiest way to overcome it in a hurry!
Titillating Titles: Use long, verbose promise laden titles. Offer a BIG promise......or a significant "protection". The truth is, 90% of the titles I read are tepid, tired and NOT going to translate into explosive amounts of traffic. Not a good copywriter? Find titles that capture YOUR interest.....and then emulate their style!
Reward with Your Resource Box: You've got to have something good to offer your readers to get them to click through, and that's rarely going to be something about you personally, or your bio, or some sort of SEO strategy you read on a "guru" blog. I've tested hundreds and hundreds of resource boxes in my own career, and can tell you that the difference between a 50% conversion rate, and a 10% conversion rate CAN be the difference between quitting your day job, or just doing this stuff as a hobby forever!
