Alan Jackson
Renowned for bringing freshness in American music industry, Alan Jackson is a country music singer of worldwide recognition. Alan's songs are said to have a riveting amalgamation of honky tonk and country sounds- two of the different genres of popular music in the States.
Jackson is recipient of many coveted awards and a member of Georgia Music Hall of Fame. He has released 14 albums to date. Nearly fifty of his singles have gone on to figure in Billboard's list of the top 30 country songs.
Early Years
Alan was born in Newman, Georgia on March 14, 1958. In his early youth, Jackson was hardly interested in music and would only listen to gospel music occasionally. His taste for music grew only after he was introduced to the music of Gene Watson by one of his close friends.
Alan started his music career with a radio jingle for Kraft cheese commercial.
Success
Alan's first album was released in 1987. Entitled "New Traditional", the album comprised of tracks like "They Call Me a Playboy", "Just Forget It, Son" and "Merle and George".
However, it was only after the release of "here in the real world" that Alan received worldwide recognition. The album turned out to be a major hit in the US and the UK. His success spree continued when he released Don't Rock the Jukebox. Jackson's fourth album "Who I am" was a char topper for a week in the US.
Inspired by the success of his albums, Alan also tried his hand in song writing and produced songs like If I Could Make a Living, Till I Was Loved by You and I Can't Do That Anymore.
