Jobs For 16 Year olds and Up

Finding a job is hard now days and its even harder to find something you like. Working at a yogurt shop myself, going to school, and blogging is proving to be difficult. Lets bring the focus on you - where would you like to work? I am sensing that any work will do as your 16 years old and would like money in your pocket. If you live in the US, you can go to craigslistand search for jobs under the jobs link. Even better, if you have time on your hands and live in a populated city like LA, San Diego, or Chicago, bring resumes with you in a backpack and give them away to potential stores that are hiring. I personally don't like craigslist because every time I applied and called no one would answer so I gave up. Who knows, maybe you become lucky.

Another great way to get some quick cash is to advertise to your neighbors or community with services such as landscaping, mowing, babysitting, or just plain cleaning. When I was 16 or 17 I mowed my neighbors lawn and for that time received around 15 dollars for an hour - which wasn't too bad, and after a couple months I would do a better job just because I loved getting myself dirty raking, landscaping, and mowing. That was my way of making money after school. I even extended my service to other neighbors and acquired another great house but a 10 dollar an hour pay. All in all this was not too bad. Here is one thing I remembered, don't get discouraged, become motivated, keep going with your talent whatever it is - babysitting, landscaping, cleaning, computers, keep it alive and advertise your service. This can become quite nice once you get some people who need your service. Of course there are the normal type of jobs such as McDonald, burger king, or pizza shops, and apply there if you have no other choice. Good luck! --Paul
