Make sure you use relative paths, so that images are not downloaded more than one time. Remove any extra spacing and when linking to other pages, use relative paths and not absolute links. Also don't use HTML comments. By this, you transfer less file size and thus save bandwidth. Sometimes other websites don't host images / files on their own host. Instead of that, they hotlink an image / file that is hosted on your site on theirs. Disable any file hotlinks to stop others stealing your bandwidth in this way.
