Once you have chosen a postcard design and you are ready to print, make sure you have the paper ready. Postcards are

Designing your own postcard for printing is easier than you think. Here are some steps on how to print on postcard.

Ideas on postcard printing

1.Make sure you have the correct paper size for 4 x 6 postcard printing. You can find pre-perforated papers to use that you can cut yourself after you finish printing the postcard. Of course, you can always just use any type of papers you think would be appropriate for the design and message your postcard will have and just cut them yourself after printing.

2.Make sure you design should also be in a 4 x 6 format that would fit your postcard. Selecting a design made for a different dimension make result in the image looking stretched out or cramped when you try to fit it to the 4 x 6 postcard you want to print.

3.Give allowance for margins so that you do not cut into the picture when you cut your postcards. It is also good to leave some margins even if you intend the picture to fill one whole side of the 4 x 6 postcard. Putting margins will give you some leeway to avoid errors in cutting that have some postcards ending up with a part of another postcards design on the edges.

4.Choose an orientation for your postcard, whether portrait of landscape, and adjust the back design to match. Leave some margins for your back designs just in case it doesnt print as exactly as the front designs do.

5.After printing your postcard, you can cut the postcards yourself using a paper cutter. If you do use a cutter, just make sure that you place a pad or a board under that you wouldnt mind being cut. You may prefer, instead, to have it cut by your local copy shops.

All you just need to do now is to write your message and the address , affix a stamp and send!
