Sony Laptops Vs Apple Laptops

Apple laptops are known for being very sturdy in design and very stable with the Mac OS. Sony is a high end laptop manufacturer that doesn't have to take a back seat, but because it uses Windows as its OS dedicated Mac fans will bash it on principle. So if we look at the two without the Mac vs Windows debate clouding the air we might just be able to get somewhere. This is especially true when you consider that the newest Mac machines can run Windows and the newest MAC OS can run on windows designed computers. So now the question really is more about style, functions and form than ever before.

Pricing can be similar between Sony and Apple laptops when you start at the entry level new machines. Apple's prices will climb much faster as you go up the chain the will the Sony machines. So if price is a big consideration and you're looking at a higher end machine, Sony might just come out as the winner.

Customer support is another factor to consider. Apple probably takes the ribbon on this one. Not that Sony does a bad job, but Apple just tends to do it a bit better. Sony has a great tool in their website for updates and FAQ's but it can be a bit challenging to actually talk to a live person on the phone. Apple customer service is much easier when talking with a person, but their online support isn't quite as extensive as Sony.

Regardless of what you want to do with your laptop you will need software. This is where we re-enter the Windows vs Mac debate just a bit. It is easier to find software locally for any Windows machine and even additional hardware is easier to find. Mac machines are typically harder to procure software and hardware for than other laptops or desktops. While you can use the internet to find what you need for either one, if you need software in your hands in the next couple of hours, then the Sony will come out on top between the two, simply due to availability.

In the end it will come down to price, familiarity, and accessibility. If you already know Windows and don't want to learn something new, are limited in your budget for higher end models, and desire readily accessible software and hardware, then Sony will win. Apple laptops are astounding in what they can do and how they look, but the price is higher and its harder to find things for. The choice is yours.
