Daft Punk - the fairytale darlings of the electro-house world, Daft Punk are quite possibly the greatest dance music duo of all time. It would've been love at first sight when their robotic helmets first locked on to each other from across the room. The pair saw each other through the production of their three albums, while it was the release of Discovery in 2001 that sealed their fame. Now looking towards the younger generation, Daft Punk will have a cameo in Disney's upcoming animated robotic epic, Tron, in addition to their latest 90 second compilation to be featured in the film.
Rising newly-weds
MA - this up and coming based Sydney-based duo released their debut experimental pop album, "Across the City and Into Your Room" in 2007. Sultry singer, Victoria White blends her talented lush teasing vocals with the sweet electro-acoustic experimental sounds of classically trained musical theatre composer, Drew Crawford and the union is absolutely spell-binding. They're coming out of their honeymoon phase to put together their next album that should be a more mature and developed composition. Expect much from this eclectically harmonious pair.
Celebrity Shotgun wedding
Duck Sauce - DJ legends A-Trak and Armand Van Helden (whose compilation, I Want Soul is featured on the latest Ministry of Sound Annual 15 Years album) shot to fame independently and now, they've teamed up to form the most anticipated celebrity DJ duo of the century. Their collaborative project, Duck Sauce, has become the talk of the music circuit of late as their first single, "aNYway" topped the UK dance charts. But it's their most recent 2010 release, "Barbara Streisand" that's been spreading like wildfire. Catchy, fun and just a rompin' good time - the video features cameos from Questlove, Santigold, Chromeo and more. The ultimate celebrity shotgun pairing - that we're hoping was built to last.
