One of the primary reasons people fail to profit now in their home business is because the people involved are instructed to prospect everyone. We are told to go through our "warm market" of contacts and badger them continuously. That type of marketing is not only challenging: it's HIGHLY ineffective.

The reason it's ineffective is because it's not targeted correctly. You have no idea if they are actually interested in your product, service, or opportunity. The only thing you have in common with your warm market is your pre-existing relationship. Most of the time if someone from your warm market does become involved with what you have to offer, it's because they want to help you even if that means accepting something they are not genuinely interested in.

Would you really want a person that feels sorry for you on your team?

Probably not.

To profit now from highly effective marketing, you have to know who your target market is: this starts by completing a profile of your ideal prospect. If you know whom you are trying to reach, this allows your marketing efforts to focus only on those people who WANT what you have to offer.

To give an example of why profiling is critical, imagine that you are marketing cupcakes, and you only have a line of 50 people to which you can market your cupcakes. Would you want a random line of people? Or would you want a line of HUNGRY people who happen to LOVE eating cupcakes...who regularly eat a cupcake or two every single day? Profiling allows you to profit now by taking the "guesstimation" out of your marketing.

By specifically targeting who you are marketing to, you begin to put yourself in a position where you can spend your time with people who are truly interested in the BENEFITS of your product, service, or opportunity which ultimately allows you to profit now.
