The Pentax K20D takes wonderful photos and is extremely simple to use. I bought this model over more cost-effective Pentax DSLRs as a result of it had LiveView. it might be nice to be able to focus whereas using LiveView, however this apparently isn't technically potential. I do lots of macro photography and albeit LiveView could be a nice feature to own, i purchase by with simply the viewfinder most of the time.
I added an Eye-Fi wireless SD card that sends my photos on to my laptop while not the requirement to plug it in, therefore i have never used the Pentax bundled software.
I added a position, additional battery, and remote management. it's nice to own an additional battery, remote, and additional SD card stored within the grip. The grip makes it to a small degree significant - pretty much like an film SLR.
Overall it's a simple to use camera right out of the box. Oh, if you get this camera from Amazon, it comes with identical accessories as if you obtain it from the Pentax store (not grey market or repackaged). for a few reason Amazon does not list what's within the box as Pentax will. It took many phone calls and then a roll of the dice to finally ensure that everything listed on the Pentax web {site} was identical as what came within the box on Amazon's site. One issue to notice though is that whereas it comes with an AC wire, it's not an AC adapter to power the camera. The AC wire it comes with is for the battery charger. If you would like to power the directly from AC you want to purchase the AC adapter. Neither Pentax or Amazon are clear regarding this detail. The AC adapter is regarding $100 additional. most of the people won't would like it. Battery power is great, though a spare is sweet to own. The battery charges absolutely in but three hours and full charge is indicated by a light-weight on the charger.
