Beforehand you worked for a business and every month you got remunerated on the dot and everything was okay - nothing special but you had no uncertainties. The boss drove up in his shiny pristine car; in the mean time you drove around in your ten year old clapped out banger - noticeably he was doing somewhat better than you! Absolutely it's time for a change; and the only human being preventing you is yourself! Start-up your own farrier business right now! Operating your own farrier business is maybe something you have thought about for several years; but what has stopped you before? It's apparent that being your own boss may well be the hardest thing you ever do, but imagine the rewards.
So how do you run a business? You have constantly been the one who is told what to do. Now the shoe is truly on the other foot - you bestow the commands now. But what commands do you give to your workers? What tells do you dispatch? How do you recognize if what you are saying or doing is the most suitable thing for your new farrier business? It was uncomplicated before...the boss spoke...and you executed what he/she said then you got rewarded at the end of the day. This is a little trickier, if you get things wide of the mark now, not only will you not get rewarded (or get rewarded less), your lack of decisiveness could impact detrimentally upon your workers.
Be alert when running your own business - for certain you want to make wealth, but not at all costs. What are the costs of business compared with just being a member of staff? You have more duty to yourself, your relatives and employees if you have any - they are all dependent on you for their economic safety. Gulp! Operating your own business repeatedly means running longer hours and you might not make any wealth from working those longer hours where before you may have got paid per hour/day. A guaranteed wage!
However having no financial worries is a great comfort though.
For your own self respect; envisage the feeling you have compared to being in a mundane employment or no employment at all. It is a lot easy going to get out of bed in a morning knowing you are constructing a business for yourself and your immediate family; you're doing it for your boss - who you might not even like.
Citizens have different reasons for becoming an industrialist - we are not the same; and as such you will undoubtedly want to do business in a more superior way than you have seen shown by other bosses in earlier jobs you have had.
Not many people begin their own business - most people don't have that "daring do". The question is do you have it? Are you motivated to succeed in business as well as in life?
