This first person shooter (FPS) has already been enjoying a bunch of hype. You can only expect this to boost with the upcoming release press. As before, you are a foot soldier in the cold war. You have access to a variety of super cool weapons which can be carried, together with grenades, explosives, and RC carswhich can be detonated.
A character can be positioned in one of the three stances: standing, crouching, or prone; each affecting the character's rate of motion, accuracy, and stealth. The player can directly dive prone from the standing position. The gamer can momentarily run faster before getting tired. If your character has taken damage, the screen glows red. Health regenerates by avoiding damage. If your character was in the blast radius of a live grenade, a marker indicates the direction of the grenade, helping you to either flee or throw it back. Brutality and gore are mixed together, with a dismemberment feature. This means that you will be rest assured that the gore from the previous games would be seen in this one too.
The player assumes the role of varied characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the story. The playable characters are special forces operatives conducting black operations behind enemy lines. In this manner, the player's characters would have their own traits including voices and shadows.
Each mission features a number of objectives that are displayed on the head up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives. The player is followed by friendly troops who cannot be issued orders.
Although primarily a first-person shooter, the gamer get to pilot a Hind helicopter and guide friendly troops from an SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft. It is something that I'm really looking forward to. It should make this game that much more fun to spend time playing.
The campaign is stuffed with scripted cinematic moments. One of these is a bullet time effect during the "Victor Charlie" level, activated when the player fires toward the last enemy of a viet cong squad.
