Government Debt Relief

Credit Cards

Credit cards, though they certainly have their place in today's modern and overly wired world, are not entirely necessary. A person can get by and skate by just fine with debit cards, or even cold hard cash if they wish to live off the grid. Today we take a look at credit cards and dissect their pluses and minuses.

It has been observed by many keen eyes such as my grandmother's that shoppers are apparently this Christmas shopping season leaving their credit cards and checkbooks at home and using debit cards and cash instead. Bless their hearts. Though some would argue that debit cards simply do not offer the same tangible rewards as credit cards, who cares? In fact, my grandmother never actually made the switch from cash to credit in the first place.

Consider the following:according to a new study, Americans accumulated $6.5 billion in credit card debt between July and September, according to a new study. That's billion with a "B", my friends. It may as well be a gazillion. And this increase in credit card debt occurred months before the Christmas shopping season even began. So do you see my point? Like how in the world are people ever going to get out of debt if they keep spending and spending (on plastic that is) like there's no tomorrow?

I have news for you: There IS a tomorrow. Sure as the sky is blue, the day of reckoning is coming. It's coming next month in fact when the credit card statements start arriving in the mail. I urge you, please don't suffer from debt regret. For Pete's sake just get rid of those credit cards once and for all. You and your finances will be better off because of it.
