When talking about mobile phones, or cell phones, you think about the current phones that we have on the market today. Well what about the phones that used to around a few years back, do you ever stop and think about the advances they've made on this technology. Of course not, most of society doesn't care about how things come to be around, we only care about if we have and how much it costs. The purpose of this article is to talk a little about mobile phones, along the lines of their advancement and their current technology.
To skip past some of the older versions of the first mobile phones, we're going to jump ahead to the first pocket sized cell phones. These first phones had all the same basic designs in common, they were a little bulky, they had basic calling features and were just a form of communication. Over time we saw a few advancements here and there with the number of applications we could access, such as mobile downloads and small games, nothing really ground breaking tho. One of the biggest advances we had in mobile phone technology was when we had access to the Internet through smart phones, via a web browser. Smart phones not only took mobile tech the the next level, it's gotten us where we are today in mobile capabilities.
When talking about the most current smart phones, what do many of them have in common? Touch screens, we longer need to even press buttons to work a phone, we can interact directly with the interface on the glass screen. The first phone to fully harness this technology was Apples iPhone, which has completely taken the market by storm. However, touch screens are not the only advancements in smart phone technology we've seen. We've also seen newer and faster processors emerge, as computer technology has advanced, allowing for smaller computer chips.
To summarize what was discussed in this article, mobile phone technology has advance quite far over the past couple of decades and even in the past few years. Gone are the days of bulky, button fashioned phones, here are the days of thin, stylish touch screen phones.
