Why Verizon Needs To Get An iPhone
Why Verizon Needs To Get An iPhone

The AT&T iPhone is hurting Verizon's smartphone sales, according to an analyst using point-of-sale data at independent wireless retailers across the US, and Android sales aren't enough to win the market back.

AT&T's iPhone sales alone beat Verizon by 2.7 million in smartphone sales in the third quarter. Claims that Android is overtaking the iPhone don't make sense knowing AT&T also sales Android devices.

Verizon was reluctant to relinquish control to Apple in the past during negotiations but this may all change for them to get their sales up in 2011.

Google Latitude Now Available as App.

The Google Latitude application is now available at the Apple App store. If you want to stalk your friends, then this is the app for you. Share your location with other friends or family that also use Google Latitude on iPhone. More than 9 million people currently use Google Latitude, running on most devises and operating systems.

Latitude is only available for those running iOS 4.0 or higher and on 3G. Do you really care though? With the Foursquare application offering the stalking option as well as coupons to local business I'm surprised Latitude is so popular.
