How To Overcome the Lonlies Of Being Vegan

Surviving as a vegan in this meat-addicted society can at times be lonely, but believe it or not there are ways to overcome the lonlies. If you're a newly transitioned vegan and feeling all alone rest assured that despite those feelings, things are about to change for the better. In fact, this is your opportunity to increase your popularity. How? Well, you now have a new, unique, smoking hot identity. You're a vegan and like I tell my daughter, vegans rock! You may not be feeling any of this at the moment, but soon you'll realize that its true.

I know, you expected that others would be more open-minded and that food options would not be so limited. You also expected to have more certainty about choosing this lifestyle. But guess what? The sun will shine again. You just need some tips on how to exist in this new life and I'm here to offer you some solutions.

For starters, focus more on you. I know that's not the first thing that comes to mind when talking about loneliness. However, before doing anything, you have to first find peace within. The decision to become vegan is a personal one. Focusing on what others expect or want from you only causes you to second guess yourself and lowers your self-confidence. So squash all of that and focus inward. Tune out the voices of others and tune into your higher self. Affirm your own desires.

Next, immerse yourself in vegan culture. For the most part, vegan culture is about creating a world of more compassionate individuals. Immersing yourself in such a culture can only improve your overall well-being. So subscribe to a vegan magazine, deepen your commitment by maybe exploring a raw food diet, take a yoga class or two or more. You'll discover that immersing yourself in this way improves your life in ways unimaginable. You'll also realize that you were better company than you thought.

Third, host a potluck where you create and share one of your most fabulous vegan dishes. This will boost your confidence and give you an opportunity to socialize and educate others on veganism. By educating others about veganism you in turn educate yourself. I've learned way more from researching answers to questions that others have asked me about veganism then I would have ever learned otherwise. You'll never have all of the answers, but learning is always fun and in it you will always realize the benefit of personal growth.

Finally, start a blog. Blogs are a great resource for information-sharing and connecting with other like-minded and knowledgeable individuals. Having a network of vegan friends will make the transition so much easier. Besides that, you'll have a much needed support system and veteran vegans are a useful resource for food options.

So kick back, have fun, relax and enjoy you because you are fabulous! The world would not be the same without you in it and has been made even better now that you're vegan.
