Amazing Elevators

There are some pretty tall skyscrapers across the world, and thank goodness that they come with elevators so that we can reach their heady heights and see some spectacular views across the cities that they live in.

The CN Tower, Toronto this is the world's tallest tower, and stands like a stiletto against the skyline. The glass fronted lift takes you up to the outdoor observation platform, so make sure you pack a scarf as it is freezing in the winter. When you get to the top you can look through the glass floor and see the cars below, that look like ants. Its not for the faint hearted!

Westin St Francis Hotel, San Francisco there are plenty places in the home of the Golden Gate bridge where you can get high up and see the sights, but the Westin has exterior elevators that give you an amazing view of the city. The ride down isn't great for people with weak stomachs though, as it hurtles at speed towards the ground!

Empire state building, New York giving you 360 degree panoramic views of Manhattan, the empire state building is particularly spectacular at night. There are seventy three lifts that will take you up to the viewing platform.

Suur Munmagi, Estonia take the lift up to one of the most isolated hilltop observatories in the world, and see out over Estonia, Latvia and Russia.

If you are planning on making any of these trips this year then make sure you have Travel Insurance. Cheap policies are available online.
