How to Avoid a System Crash

The steady of Windows is not very strong. After a certain time, system's slowdown and errors is a common thing sometimes even an annoying crash that we usually named blue screen. Though we complain about it, without it we may disjoint from the nowadays society. How to avoid system errors?

Uninstall software completely

Some people directly delete the folder where the program locates instead of taking the normal method to uninstall the software. Thus the system could not find out the file when booting. For this moment, we should reinstall this program, and uninstall it from control panel Add/ Remove program.

Recover the register

If the system can still boot normally, you can enter the backup subfolder (such as 2004-8-15) in the disk C:WINNTERDNT, and then run "ERDNT.EXE" to recover the register. If system can't start, you can try a key F8 to choose "the last correct configuration". If it doesn't take effect, you can adopt the other method.

If there are double systems, you can enter the other normal Windows, running the "ERDNT.EXE" in the backup folder to recover. If the other Windows' sign has changed, for example disk C becomes disk C, you should open the backupfolder "ERDNT.INF" in notepad to change the "C" to "D".

Pick up the losing system file

Delete the system files is a factor that makes the Windows unsteady. If you know the name of the losing file, you can pick it up from the installation disk.

Record the file name and the original position of the losing file.

Click "start" menu, point to "run", and then enter "sfc" to run the system file checker.

At the popup window, click "scan the modified file" and enter the name of the losing file in the file bar that needs recovery, finally click the "start".

Enter the route of installation disk at the bar "recover from...".

Then the system points out whether you save the original file. Suggest you choose "save". After normal running, you can delete the file you have saved before at C:Windows help desksfc
