So the dream of becoming a freelance web designer is on the minds of many a 9-5 web designer but what is it really like? The ups and downs are a turbulent ride for the unsuspecting freelance web designer
The ups
So the upside to being a freelance web designer in sydney.
1. i don't need to wake up at 7am, but i do. If you don't 'have' to do it, it is no longer a problem.
2. i have a very short commute. my computer is under 10 seconds away from my bed. on my commute i rarely have to stand next to smelly fat idiots.
3. dress code is very relaxed and i only really need to get dressed if i am going out to get food.
4. if i am hungover and sick on my keyboard i do not get laughed at.
5. i can reply to emails from my sofa
6. if i am sleepy after lunch and ...
7. want to finish things off after a siesta, i can.
8. my xmas party does not cost very much.
9. i can go to the beach when i want.....GONE TO THE BEACH.
The down's
So the downside to being a freelance web design guy in sydney.
1. i don't need to wake up at 7am, but i do. why? that really annoys the "rhymes with duck' out of me.
2. i have a very short commute. my computer is under 10 seconds away from my bed. on my commute i rarely get to see many hot girls.
3. dress code is very relaxed so now i think it is acceptable to wear board shorts to any function which deep down i know is wrong.
4. if i am hungover and sick on my keyboard i have nobody to tell me to stop drinking.
5. i always fall asleep on the sofa.
6. if i am sleepy after lunch and ...
7. take a siesta, i can never get anything done after.
8. my xmas party was 'rhymes with brit'.
9. i can go to the beach when i want.....I GOT SUNBURN TODAY.
