Most women think that building muscles is like shaping up your body the way a body builder does. Another misconception is thinking that lifting weights will make you look huge. Those are all wrong; it does not mean that if you are training with weights you will have a big and enormous body. Building muscles on your body depends on how or what training you will undergo.

Women, who have a sculpted body like a bodybuilder, went to trainings and lifestyle that will result to that kind of body. Weight lifting will not cause you to get a huge body and will not lose your body's femininity. There are different programs and training that you can choose from that will surely give you the result you want.

So with the question how much muscle should women have, the answer is that it will always depend on the woman. It will depend on the result that she wants. If she just wants a body that is fit and in shape, or whether she wants to be sculpted and toned like bodybuilders are. Women can basically have muscles up to the point that they want.

Building muscles will depend on your body type too, which they call morphic shapes. Morphic shapes are grouped into three categories namely: ectomorph-people with tall slender frame; mesomorph-people that has broad shoulders, thick limbs, and small waists; and endomorphs-people that are rounded in shape and builds fats easily.

These three will determine your body type and what kind of training you will need. By knowing the category that your body belongs to, this will prevent you from wasting your time doing exercises and regimes that are not suitable for your body. This will also guide you on which part of your body needs the most attention.

If you have already decided how much muscles you want to have, then it is time to hit the gym and start lifting weights. However, before you start, you should know that in lifting weights you would have healthier and leaner body. So, to prevent you from gaining those fats back, always remember to avoid having injuries.

Having injuries will prohibit you from doing exercises and lifting. If you stop lifting weight, the fats will build up again and all your time and effort will be wasted. Start slowly, lift lighter weight and just take your time. If you are already comfortable with it, take the next step. Do it one step at a time.

Woman can have muscles as much as they desire. They may be doing it to shape up their body, to feel confident, or to be fit and healthy. Whatever reasons may they have, it is always important that at the end of the day, they feel good about themselves. In having either a slender and fabulous body or a toned and nicely sculpted one, it is still the person who owns the body who should do the decision making.

If you want to build muscles, then go for it. Women should not be scared, because of the misconceptions and wrong information that they hear from others. Be independent and do the things that you desire. Because after all, it is your body and no one else should have a fit with what you want to do with it. Just be careful that you do not overdo it. We only have one body to live, anyway.
