Green Laptop is True or Not
Green Laptop is True or Not

Some people are still clear about the ads of Apple in 2008. It claimed that certain laptop is the most environmentally friendly notebooks. This slogan was against by Dell. Dell pointed that apple was trying to deliberately misguide the customer as this advertisement may indicate that all of its products are environmental.

This debate between two grand companies reflects the dark side of so called green electronics. In fact, there are more and more electronic devices announced its green feature such as the air-conditioner, ice-box and so on. Like many retail companies, laptop manufacturers try to find ways to invent new products with green labels to attract more attentions and increase its sales rank. The truth is that laptop is not so attractive as it looks like. In a sense, there are hazard to human health. Like commonly seen laptop AC adapter as Toshiba PA3469U-1ACA AC Adapter, Dell PA-12 AC Adapter and Dell PA-21 AC Adapter, it seems that nothing can threaten our heath while using them.

However, according to Greenpeace, it published a report on the materials used by five grand PC companies which included Acer, Apple, Dell, HP, and Sony. Three of the five companies are in the black list as the internal lines contain PVC material which can result in nerve damage, lower immunity and liver cancer. This sounds startling for many laptop users as we never recognize it. Take Dell LA65NS0-00 AC Adapter and Inspiron 1525 AC Adapter for example, the covering of laptop AC adapter are made of plastics. Especially for the new one, you should be cautious if it smells heavily. As to the laptop battery, toxic chemical is used inside. This is the common sense that the inside material is with corrodibility.

In Europe, it's forbidden to use mercury, cadmium, certain brominated flame retardants and other harmful elements to humans for the electronic manufacturing industries. When you press the power button, the potential disasters move forward its step. Do you still believe in so called green laptop?
