Welcome to part II of the Family Recovery Project

Today am going to expose you to 2 websites that list various reputable companies that offer Business Opportunities that you can take advantage of.

Most of these opportunities come as Direct Sales single level or multi level business opportunities (will explain).

A single Level Sales opportunity simply means you only sell the product to make your commission.

A multi Level means you sell the product to make commission and make bonus money by introducing others into the business. This often referred to as MULTI LEVEL MARKETING.

MULTI LEVEL MARKETING OR NETWORK MARKETING has been associated with bad references because we have all had a bad experience with it or know someone who had a bad experience with this marketing concept.

The common problem that resulted in a bad taste for multi level marketers and many work from home opportunities is that at one point in time we were all sold DVD's, CD's and books that were suppose to help us start our own business, some were straight up rip off others were good but their marketing strategy was ineffective; we were asked to call our network of friends and neighbors, write a list of 100 people we know, Power hours, cold calling etc to sell and offer the opportunity to every living being we come across.

But soon we realize that not only are they not interested in the product, they have no DESIRE to own a business and worse of all if this is the way they were suppose to generate sales or sponsor people, by hunting them down, then they have absolutely no desire to be part of our business opportunity, leaving us frustrated. We eventually give up, having had a bad experience and leaving a bad taste in our mouth.

This strategy was used in the 1940's and it worked well then, but in this information technology age in which our society has evolved, for every line of product, the consumer will have at least 3 different brand names competing against each other.

Unlike the 40's where you have limited choices, today the choices are unlimited and people generally know what they want and they make INFORMED decision and " NOBODY wants to be SOLD".

I hate to admit that even to date some marketers still use this old strategy to generate sales. Do not get this wrong "WORD OF MOUTH" is the best form of advertising, if you see a great movie you tell your friend to go see it (ie advertising), when you go to a great restaurant and you tell your neighbor about your experience (ie advertising), and list goes on. In all these examples you had nothing to gain or nothing to loose. You were just being a good friend, or neighbor sharing your experience in exchange for NOTHING.

On the other hand if you were to tell your neighbor that you just saw this movie and is great, and you were going to be paid by becoming a direct sales representative then that is GREAT. Thus, you signed up and now you can offer the DVD at wholesale prices and can sign your friends and neighbors up to become reps too; how does this sound to you? Are you even comfortable telling this to your neighbor? And indeed some people can and will, but the result is the same. Your neighbor feels his friendship is being taken advantage of because of an underlying factor : "WHat is In it for Me WHIM factor".

There is always a fine line when you mix business with family and friends, you can be positioned in such a way that they find you, or initiate the process but not the other way around. I will cover this in detail but for now let's find the BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES OUT THERE.

They have a list of companies that comply with their code of ethics; www.dsa.org you can navigate the site but to get you started you can click on MEMBERHIP, subcategory MEMBERS BY LISTING, then DIRECT SELLING MEMBER COMPANY SEARCH from there you can search by SALES STRATEGY or COMPENSATION PLAN whichever way you want.

You will find a list of companies and their profile with their website for your review.
