My P90x Transformation Story
My P90x Transformation Story

I used to be fairly fit during high school, but then college came. Like many, I gained weight during college, and I got off track. I woke up late so I only ate two meals a day. The campus food wasn't all that healthy either. Lacking willpower, after every meal I often had an ice cream cone from the soft serve machine. My poor eating habits, terrible late night snacks and lack of exercise and I started packing on the weight.

It took a length of around 5 years for me to get to the point where I realized I was on a path of destruction. I was up 25 lbs from where I once was, and I could tell it all was fat. I realized that if I didn't start to change right now, I was going to end up far worse. It was either do something now, or continue to wait and gain weight, and make it harder for myself. I was done waiting. I was ready to get fit!

While being a vegetable on the couch I was browsing through the channels when an infomercial caught my eye. I sometimes watch infomercials when I'm bored because I find some of them pretty ridiculous. This one, however, was sucking me in. It was an infomercial for P90x, and the longer I watched it, the more I was interested. I got on the Internet and did some research and after finding a lot of rave reviews, I went ahead and bought it.

In the past, I would always get bored of a workout and then give up. This however, looked like it would be fun. I started getting excited that in just 90 days I could get fit at home, and after doing some research online about it, I ordered it on the Beachbody website. At this point I couldn't wait for it to come in the mail so I could get started.

When the package arrived, I read everything I needed to, the nutrition and fitness guides, and I watched the "How to Bring It" DVD that introduced me to the program. I then did the fit test and was glad that I was able to pass it. The fit test tells you whether or not you are fit enough to start the program.

As the program started, my arms were so sore that it was hard to find relief. I walked around with my arms bent because they were so stiff that to let them hang straight at my sides as they should meant terrible pain. After a couple weeks the pain subsided and I started being able to keep up with the workouts better.

The Ab Ripper X workout, and the Yoga workout were the hardest ones for me. I struggled being able to go all the way through Ab Ripper X until day 40 of the program when I was able to do all of the exercises completely. Pretty soon I found myself at the end of the 90 days feeling great, and 11 lbs lighter. I worked hard for those 11 lbs and I was extremely happy with my results!
