The Heat garnered more fans and supporters as they improved their games.

The Heat moved to American Airlines Arena in 1999. Over 20,000 Heats ticket holders were accommodated in the new arena. The beginning of the new millennium was a start over for the team. With a fresh roster filled with promising players, the team is prepared to face all. Riley stepped down as the head coach of the team in 2003 to focus on being the team president. With the young players at hand, the team was rejuvenated and even the more weathered members had their careers revived.

Shaq was acquired from the Lakers in 2004. The combination of Shaq and Wade became something admired in the NBA. They managed to grab a 59-23 winning record which is their second best in franchise history. In 2005, Pat Riley once again stepped in as the head coach as the current head coach that year stepped down. With him on the wheels and the team that works well together, the Heat managed to capture the 2006 Championship.

The great plays of the Heat have been the reason for the increasing number of fans the team is acquiring. The team has been steadily improving. Getting their next Championship is well within reach for the Heat.
