According to research, the average life span these days is 78 to 83 years old. Lucky for people who reach this age, they know how to take care of themselves.
How can we actually live a long, healthy life? Accidents and hereditary diseases aside, there are other options to do: we can drink ginseng root extract, eat noodles during birthdays, or drinking from "The Fountain of Youth". Seriously, long life is something that we have to work hard for; our body can only endure so much before it wears down.
The first step to live a long, healthy life is to be physically active. Exercise is like the warm up of a car engine. It revs up our metabolism, making it easier to burn the calories we consume. Exercising at least three times a week will fire up your engine and keep it in tune.
Eat right. We need to give our body the right fuel for the job. Consuming the right kind of nutrients and taking in adequate amount of carbs, proteins and fats, gives our body the energy that it needs to carry out physical activity, and to recover properly.
Think positively. View every challenge with a positive mindset, to help our body relax and avoid the release of the stress hormone cortisone. This will also limit the amount of free radicals our body produces in times of stress. Learn to manage stress by engaging in activities that you enjoy doing.
Finally, work on having peace of mind. Having a sense of serenity and balance will carry you through life's many ups and downs.
We often hear people wishing others a "long life" but still, whether we're blessed with a healthy life or not, it's important that we work hard for it, maintain it and eat your worries behind.
