What do you do if many programs and applications have become complicated? As the prices of RAM or computer memory continue to decrease, it is always possible for you to upgrade your RAM in your desktop computer to ensure fast processing of data.

The first thing that you need to do is search for the type of RAM that your computer has or need. You can take the computer model with you when looking for a RAM. Be aware that different computers need different types of RAM. There are those that need RAM that are in pairs. Make sure you are being assisted properly.

If you have the right RAM then you can proceed to the next step, which is to shut down and unplug your computer so that you can install the RAM. Shutting down alone is not enough because the mother board is being supplied with power directly from your supply making it risky when you try to install the RAM. Remove the side covering and lay it safely on its side.

You will then remove the currently installed RAM from the computer but before you do this you need to discharge the static electricity by touching the side of the computer or you can wear a static strap. This is important even if you have bought it as wholesale desktop computer considering that it is probably cheap.

The next step would be to locate the RAM on the mother board. Usually, a personnel from desktop computer sale can tell you where to locate it and how to release the chip. You need to release both clips at the end of the chip. Notice where the notch is located in the chip is as you pull it out. The new RAM should be installed exactly the same as the one installed previously. If you dont need to replace the old one, you need to reset because with time, the chips may loosen up and will affect the whole computer.

More often than not a wholesale desktop computer only has the minimum RAM installed and this significantly affect the processing capacity of the PC. So, then you will need to upgrade the RAM by adding or totally replace the old chip. It is suggested that you know what you have to do so that you will not destroy the whole computer.
